His deep voice pulled her under his spell with effortless ease, and some of the knots twisting her insides released under his surprisingly gentle hold on her. The man they called a Monster wasn’t known for his gentility. Those large hands were more suited to killing, to torture, and God only knew what else.
“That’s my girl. Close your eyes and let yourself feel. The others don’t matter here.”
Alicia shivered, all too aware of this man’s reputation. He might be gentle now, and, at this moment in time, with her eyes closed, she could allow herself to pretend. To imagine that she was here of her own free will. That she hadn’t be sold to him. Was his to do with as he pleased, whatever that might entail.

She ought to hate him.
By the time he nudged her chin up, she was a quivering mess. Torn between this instant attraction she felt and her need to be free.
“You’re all mine now, sweet thing.”
