Mummy said I did very well, because I didn't hide like she thought I would. I felt like it, but Mummy was so ill, I had to keep an eye on her. I told you about this car accident she had, right, and then she got this nasty cold. I had to look after her, and give her lots of cuddles.
*looks aorund furtively and whispers the words*
....took me to the vets!
I tell you. There I was enjoying the lovely cuddle Mummy gave me and next thing I know I was in the same box she had me in when I got to her house. I wasn't too worried at first, but then my lil sis Snuggles went into a different box and then we left the house.
No, no, no. That's when I started freaking out and wondering what on earth I'd done. Was she taking us to live somewhere else. I was telling Snuggles off the whole car ride, because as far as I'm concerned she's the naughty one. She kept climbing on the Christmas tree, and broke several plates by jumping on the worktop and....
Oh, where is she taking us?
Mummy did try and tell me to calm down, and I tried, I really tried, but truth be told, I was terrified.
Didn't help one iota that Snuggles was freaking out too. She had to have an injection, and Mummy had to hold her really tight so that she stopped hissing at the nurse, who was doing it, and then...
Oh, my furry paws, then it was my turn. I was so terrified I didn't even move when they put me on the scales. Thankfully, that's all they did. Something about me needing a weight check so that they could give me the right meds to get rid of some nasty little blighters called worms and fleas.
Well, I have to say I take offence at the mere suggestion that I should have any critters like that. I'm very clean, thank you very much.
Mummy said my heart was beatng so fast against her hand she could feel it thumping. I should think she could, because I was TERRIFIED!
Are you listening to me? DO not do that to me, ever again.
Apparently I do not have to go back now for a while now. Snuggles needs to go back next month, poor thing.
I tell you, I've never been so glad to come back home as I was that day. I didn't even mind Mummy putting that stuff on the back of my neck.
I was home!
I don't ever want to leave here and I've been trying really hard to be extra affectionate and good since then. No more cllimbing the tree...
*looks pointedly at Snuggles*
Mind you, that's been taken down now, more's the pity. It sure was fun..... I mean.... ah, never mind. I'm a good boy, really.
As for my lil sis, she's growing tons and getting cheekier by the minute. Mummy thinks its lovely that I sleep with her, but really, I'm only doing it to keep an eye on the lil thing, because, she is trouble that Snuggles.
Cute too, but don't tell her I said that, will you?
That's all from me today.
