Hello, everyone, my name is Lester and my new mummy has told me that, apparently, this is my day on her blog. Not that I really know what a blog is, let alone what I’m doing on one, but hey, I quite like my new mummy, so I guess I can stay a while.
It was very scary when I got to her house. I just got used to my foster mummy, who did a brilliant job of looking after me and my brother. You see, my cat mummy had my brothers and me in the back of someones' garden about seven months ago now.
Neither one of us like humans much, so when the kind folks at Cat and Kitten rescue took us all in,
well, there was a lot of hissing and snarling, until we all learned that, actually, some humans are nice.
So when my foster mum told me that a lady called Doris was coming to see me, I was curious. She smelled okay, and she wasn’t too frightening, so I licked her finger, and gave her a good sniff.
Next, I know I’m in a box and traveling in a car to her house.
Yep, you guessed it, Doris is my new mummy, and I guess she was rather happy to bring me home. I understand something awful happened to her previous kittens, and she was very sad until she got me.
Well, I don’t like her being sad, so I let her fuss me before I sought refuge under her bed. I tell you, I love it under here. It’s safe and cozy, and I can get to know all these humans who seem to occupy this house.
I tell you, my eyes almost crossed at how many there are. I was so scared at first, but, like I said my new mummy is rather nice, and she fed me under the bed until I felt confident enough to come out.
When I did, well, this is a great place. I do love my cuddles
Mummy says I have the loudest purr and the cutest miaow. Between you and me I think she is rather besotted with me. She keeps taking pictures, like these. I still don't see why my liking of bread was such a big thing, mind you. Surely any self respecting kitten needs to try anything, and see whether it's edible, right?
I’m not allowed outside because Mummy says it’s not safe for me, so apparently, I’m getting a baby sister, later on, today, in fact. To keep me company or something like that. Everyone seems very excited about this… Hmm, we shall see.
She is called Snuggles, odd name if you ask me, but hey, I think I might like her. I tried really hard to make friends with mummy’s other furbabies, but Sookie, who’s a cat like me, and reminds me of my cat mummy, well....
Mummy says she likes me really, she just wants to be the boss, so I guess I leave her be. Why she has to snarl at me, when I come up to say hello, I do not know. At least, Kiyo and Harold, who are huge dogs… no really HUGE they are, they like me. Kiyo likes me a little too much, so I had to tell him off a few times, but you know what. It’s kinda funny to see him back away. Harold tends to just ignore me, so, naturally, I have to climb into his crate, and make myself comfy in there. I soon come out and let him lie down. I’m nice like that.
In fact, everyone here keeps telling me how beautiful I am.
I rather like it when they call me that, and they do give the best cuddles. So, all in all, I’m really liking my new family.
Mummy just said she hopes you folks like this new feature on her blog.
Should I know what she’s going on about? Apparently, she’s a writer and she usually puts hot stuff on here. Seems daft to me, surely that would burn her paws? Hmm, do humans have paws? I might have to ponder this for a while.
Ohh, food, that’s my cue.
I’m outta here. Will report back next week about this Snuggles person.
